Network Assessment

Network Assessment

As your organization evolves, has your network grown alongside and aligned with its direction? A Network Assessment will evaluate the functional and operational design of the network and its alignment with business needs. A review of network configurations will provide in-depth and detailed information on the specifics for each network device. A network assessment is constructed to identify gaps in existing capabilities and compare their alignment to the organization’s current and future needs. Network Assessments have many individual components that can be utilized separately or cohesively. For example: Network Inventory and Documentation, Network Health Assessment, QoS and Network Performance Assessment, Network Architecture Review.

External Security Assessment

In today’s business landscape, security testing is a key tenet in all major regulatory and compliance requirements. An External Security Assessment identifies and examines network vulnerabilities of external, Internet facing systems to determine whether they can be exploited by an attacker to compromise targeted systems or used to gain access to sensitive information. An optional penetration testing phase can be conducted to include exploitation of any identified vulnerabilities.

Internal Security Assessment

Internal Security Assessment

As with External Security Assessments, analyzing your internal security footprint similarly to your external network provides a comprehensive view of your overall risk landscape. An Internal Security Assessment identifies and examines network vulnerabilities for internal, Intranet based services to determine whether they can be exploited by an attacker to compromise targeted systems or used to gain access to sensitive information. An optional penetration testing phase can be conducted to incldue exploitation of any identified vulnerabilities.

Firewall Security Review

Firewalls are a critical component in your security landscape as they protect your edge from the distrusted world of the internet. Because firewalls can be managed by multiple groups, rules can become outdated and no longer relevant to current business needs, leading to unknown or unnecessary risk. Firewall Security Reviews are vital as they measure your Firewall(s) against Best Practices to identify gaps or vulnerabilities that may be introduced through human error.

Social Engineering

Social Engineering

People, both internal and external, are you greatest risk to security. Human nature is primarily trusting with a desire to help, but when considering your organizations valuable and sensitive data, this innate response is no longer appropriate. Social Engineering is a technique that uses persuasion and/or manipulation to gain unauthorized access through human interaction. While spear and email phishing are the most popular, telephone and physical social engineering campaigns can also be used to manipulation human reactions.

Wireless Assessment & Security Review

Wireless access is no longer a luxury amenity, it is now a necessity. The proliferation of mobile devices and mobile enabled applications requires a more robust and secure wireless infrastructure. Wireless Assessment Services evaluate the overall health and security of your organization’s wireless implementations and provide recommendations for improvement. An optional Wireless Penetration Testing phase can be conducted to include exploitation of the underlying vulnerabilities: Network Inventory and Documentation, Network Health Assessment, QoS and Network Performance Assessment, Network Architecture Review.
