Position: Solutions Engineer
Solutions Engineers are top-level technical contributors with advanced industry knowledge and company-related expertise in networking, communications, and related hardware and software. They demonstrate a versatile skill set in a variety of technologies applicable to the company’s networking and computing infrastructure. They are sought out to troubleshoot, consult with, and resolve the most complex network-related issues. Solutions Engineers research and conduct technical studies/evaluations on vendor products as well as on current and emerging technologies; they recommend appropriate investments in the company’s network infrastructure, related communication technologies, and equipment. They develop methodologies, technical standards, security requirements, and business best practices to maintain and enhance the company’s customer-facing, Internet-facing, and internal network infrastructure and related communication technologies and equipment. Solutions Engineers analyze the most complex network-related requirements and develop high-level and complimentary detailed technical design documentation that supports an overall business solution for the customer. They lead and mentor others in peer technical design reviews by providing advanced technical advice in network planning, design, engineering, and architecture. Solutions Engineers document or provide input into customer proposals that require the most complex technical solutions.
Position Summary:
Atrion is seeking a driven IT service professional interested in an opportunity to learn and grow within an established IT services organization, especially with Atrion’s MSP and MSSP offerings. The Solutions Engineer is principally responsible for assisting in the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of networking and security technologies for Atrion customers on professional services projects. This position is also responsible for supporting Atrion Managed Services customers and providing Level 2/Level 3 support in relation to those managed service agreements. The Solutions Engineer is responsible for configuring IT solutions to meet the customer’s business needs and provide ongoing support, while functioning as part of a service delivery organization.
The Solutions Engineer will function both as part of an implementation team on larger projects and individually, providing services and support on smaller projects. The Solution Engineer supports all phases of the sales and technology lifecycle, these efforts encompass all aspects of the products and services offered by Atrion. Our lifecycle operations follow a design, build, operate and maintain methodology.

plan eligibility, coverage, etc.
Medical and Dental Coverage
Atrion provides medical and dental coverage for all full time employees. Employees are
required to contribute a portion of the premium cost for the medical/dental coverage
payable through payroll deduction and covered by a Section 125 plan. An employee may
opt to decline coverage provided that employee shows coverage through a spouse’s plan or some other type of coverage. Employees must be employed for 30 days before they can become eligible for coverage in the company insurance plans.
Life Insurance
All employees are eligible for $50,000 of group term accidental death and
dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
COBRA Continuation
At separation of employment, an employee may elect to continue health insurance
coverage as permitted under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of
1985 (COBRA). Also, under this law, continuation of insurance coverage is available for
one’s spouse or dependents in the event of marital separation, divorce, death, or other
qualifying events.
401K Plan
All employees are eligible to join Atrion’s 401K plan after completing one year of
employment with Atrion. Employees are allowed to contribute up to the amounts
allowable by the IRS each year. Atrion will match up to 4% of the employees’
contribution based upon the Safe Harbor Rules as determined by the Internal Revenue
Service. This allows for equal match for the first 3% of salary deferral and ½ percent for
each of the next 2 percent. The 401K plan follows the same vesting schedule as above.
